Greetings Fellow JCI Members!

This is to inform you that we received a letter from PAGCOR dated February 25, 2009 inviting our organization to join the “Grand Bida March” to be held on March 21, 2009.  This event was organized led by PAGCOR in cooperation with DepEd, Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) and Batang Iwas sa Droga (BIDA) Foundation which was launched last year.  It is an anti-drug abuse program whose purpose is to in fight and to help addressed the country’s drug problem. The initiative primarily targeted elementary students both from the public and private schools nationwide.

To intensify the fight against illegal drugs, PAGCOR in partnership with agencies including NGOs agreed to have a joint effort to stage the said Grand Bida March. This undertaking is also an attempt to earn recognition with the Guinness World Book Records to showcase the most number of students, the youth in general, parents and to everybody in crusade against drug abuse and to deliver a strong message to the world that we move for drug free society.

In this regard, in support to said initiative we are inviting all our members especially those from Metro Area and Area 3 to join the call of PAGCOR for said undertaking.  The parade will culminate at the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta where a free concert will be held.  All participants are encouraged to register at the booths located at the CCP in Roxas Blvld. Pasay City.  Registration starts at 1:00 PM while the march is schedule at 3:00 pm.

However, to facilitate registration procedures the organizers will soon provide us with advance copies of registrations forms (sample copy see attached file). Participants registration forms will be submitted to the booths mentioned above before the grand march. Those LOMs which can have at least (minimum of 5 members) who will join will be given three (3) JCIPEA points that would be under the other local projects guidelines. SUBJECT:   Amended JCIPEA Guidelines
-----------------------------------------------------

Greetings Fellow JCI Members!

During 1st Regular NB Meeting last January 10, 2009 the JCIPEA Guidelines was approved in principle to further align it with NTC guidelines on points. On careful deliberations during the 1st EXCOM held last January 23, 2009 we have finally reconciled on the points on seminars and come up with the amended JCIPEA guidelines for this year. (Please see attached file).

Such move is in line with the effort to maximize the recognition by giving appropriate points on the projects, activities, trainings and other matters pertaining to the conduct of the administrative functions to be undertaken. The EXCOM then have introduced some revisions on the rules and corresponding points to level the playing field to all the LOM to keep them to be at par with each other. This time it is expected to be more competitive in the race for excellence.

Be informed further as agreed during the EXCOM submission of proposals on points to further enhance the said JCIPEA guidelines still be entertained thru your respective NVPs or directly the Office of the National Secretary General to be presented for consideration during the 2nd Regular NB Meeting on April 4, 2009.

We always count on your support on this year of service as we look forward for everybody for being “Active Citizens” thru active leadership so that we can always “Be Better” and be ONE@61.

Thank you very much and good luck to everybody!
