JCI Philippines played host to the visits of JCI top officers namely JCI World President Jun Sup Shin of JCI Korea and JCI Vice President James Tsui of JCI Hongkong.

JCI World President Shin arrived via Korean Airlines from Inchon at 12:15. 2009 National President Fulbert Woo with 2005 National President Dennis Cunanan, 2009 National Treasurer Lear San Buenaventura, 2007 NRRC Chairperson Rosaling Ngo and 2009 JCI Week Chairman Eon Tiu.


BAGUIO CITY SOJOURN – MARCH 28
JCI World President Shin took a flight to the country’s summer capital - Baguio City – and arrived around 2:30PM. He was welcomed JCI members in the region led by NEVP Ryan Ravanzo together with the chapter presidents – President Giovanni Vinas of JCI Baguio and JCI Vanessa Roncal of JCI Baguio Sunflower.


Baguio City and the Philippines is very popular destination among Korean tourist and World President Shin tried first hand why after luncheon meeting. The Baguio Country Club is one of the country’s premier golf courses. Every year, thousands of Korean tourists visit the Philippines for its outstanding golf facilities as well as its beaches, English language studies and other business. In the evening, World President Shin was guest of honor during the Induction Ceremony of JCI Baguio Sunflower. Hundreds of JCI members attended the affair which made it more meaningful with the participation of EARTH HOUR to which lights were turned off for an hour. This strengthened JCI’s resolved to support the global campaign to help climate change.

HEART WARMING DAGUPAN VISIT – MARCH 29




JCI World President Jun Sup Shin arrived in Dagupan City last March 29 for the Regional Council Meeting of Northern Luzon hosted by JCI Dagupan Inc which coincided with a luncheon and courtesy call with Dagupan City Mayor & JCI Sen. Alipio Fernandez Jr. at the latter's fishpond in Bacayao Norte. After the two-hour meeting, he proceeded to Sitio Carecaan in Brgy. Pogo Chico amidst warm welcome from hundreds of JCI-flag bearing children, accompanied by blaring trumpets and drums from the 60-member marching band. He graced the mass recognition ceremonies for YLEA - Ang Batang Lider Awards and the formal launch of JCI Dagupan's CARE Carecaan, an Adopt-a-Community program, with component activities consisting of a 120-day supplemental feeding program, medical mission for the elderly, dental mission, free haircut and demonstration of proper handwashing to young children.

JCI members from Area 1, 2 and 3 trooped to Marina Restaurant in Manila in full force to greet, meet and learn from our visiting JCI World President Jun Sup Shin. Present during the affair led by our 2009 National President Fulbert Woo were JCI World Executive Vice President for Asia Pacific Rafael Dizon III, 2005 National President Dennis Cunanan, NSEVP Edwin Guinto, NEVP Area 2 Jay Santiago, NT Lear San Buenaventura NVP Jeanine de Jesus, NVP Minnie Victoriano, NVP Vannie Tolentino and other past national officers.

JCI VICE PRESIDENT JAMES TSUI VISIT IN THE PHILIPPINES
JCI VP James Tsui is from JCI Hongkong. His official visit is part of the region wherein he is assigned by JCI. VP Tsui is from JCI City local organization and joined JCI since 1994.
He became Local President in 2000 and National President in 2006. At the international level, James served as JCI ASPAC Senate Board Director in 2007/2008 and JCI Growth and Development Commission Chairman in 2008.
He serves as JCI Vice President assigned to the national organizations of Japan, Korea, Philippines, and Taiwan.
COOL TAGAYTAY VISIT
JCI VP James official visit starts with a meeting with local organizations in Cavite Region in Tagaytay City. Meeting was attended by NSEVP Eds, NSEVP Karren, NVP Kon, NSG Van, GLC Enteng, Past NVP Robin and local chapters of Cavite City, Tagaytay Kalikasan, Bacoor Pambungad, Dasmarinas,



MEETING WITH NP FULBERT WOO - JCI VP James met with NP Fulbert at JCI Philippines Headquarters. He also took time to speak with the participants of the Convention and Conference Management Seminar.
